The studio is based in a remote location in Co. Leitrim, Ireland, at an altitude of ~180m.
It is extremely tranquil and restorative, with nearest neighbours about 1km away. External noise is primarily birdsong, wind in the treetops, or an occasional cow or donkey in the distance.

An artesian well with fresh spring water reflects the energy, power and great vibe of the location, which can be linked to megalithic traditions.

Adjacent to the studio, a 5 bedroom house is available to rent for residential creative times, which includes a large open plan living space. (Sleeps 8+ comfortably)

When a break is required...
The site is within 30mins of Cavan, Carrick-on-Shannon and Longford towns. There are plenty of activities in the region, including Lake Swimming, Archery, Kayaking, Hiking, Waterfalls, Caves, Canal Walks, Cafes, etc.
Wellness services can also be arranged on-site, including Yin Yoga, Craniosacral Therapy, Reiki and Indian Head Massage

Lugg Studios is based in a remote and tranquil location in Co. Leitrim, Ireland, at an altitude of ~180m. It is approximately 2 hours from Dublin or Belfast, and is a unique location for a creative escape.

Planning for Lugg Studios started in 2019, as part of a gradual home studio evolution. The final layout was designed with acoustician Cameron Doyle, with the build commencing in 2022 and the first sounds played in the amazing new space in May 2023. It features a generous control room with plenty of natural light, a live/drum room, amp/iso rooms and a second large live room.

The owner, Brendan Tuite, has been building on his music passion for over 30 years. His experience spans from analog studios in the 1990's through the digital changes in recent years, recently updating his 1990's education with courses in mixing, acoustics and Audio Production for Games. He has developed his skills through recording, producing and releasing multiple albums as a member of Virtual Trio, in addition to work on podcasts, short films and other collaborations.
